Production Supervisor | Direct Hire | Grand Prairie, TX
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay: $25.96 /hr, will pay more depending on experience
Type: Full time, direct hire, onsite
About the Role
An established manufacturing company in Grand Prairie is looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to run daily floor operations. You'll keep production on schedule, make sure the team works safely, and lead a crew of 15 to 20 employees. This is a great fit for an experienced supervisor or a strong lead who's ready for the next step.
What You'll Do
Production
- Keep daily and weekly production on track so orders ship on time
- Spot slowdowns and shift people where they're needed to keep work moving
- Check product quality and make sure the right processes are followed
- Report downtime, issues, and daily results to management
- Help coordinate shipments based on production needs
Team Leadership
- Build and manage the team's work schedule
- Train, coach, and develop team members in a positive way
- Address performance, attendance, and behavior concerns and handle corrective action per company policy
Safety
- Follow and enforce OSHA guidelines on the floor
- Make sure required PPE is worn in all designated areas
- Keep forklift training records and certifications current
Equipment and Work Area
- Help keep machines, tools, and supplies in good working order
- Track tools and manage check in and check out
- Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe, with daily cleanup and recycling handled by the team
- Take on other tasks as needed
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing or warehouse operations
- Lead or supervisor experience
- Mechanically inclined and willing to learn every position and machine on the floor
- Clear communicator, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills
- Quick problem solver who can manage time and hit deadlines
- Organized, detail oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Able to stand 10 hours a day in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Reliable transportation
