Description of job:
SnapCare is seeking a skilled and confident Emergency Room Registered Nurse to support the Emergency Department at MercyOne Clinton Medical Center in Clinton, IA. In this role, you will provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment for patients presenting with a wide range of acute and emergent conditions.
This position requires strong clinical judgment, excellent prioritization skills, and the ability to thrive in a high‑acuity night‑shift environment. Flexibility to work every third weekend and every other holiday is required based on departmental needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
- Active Iowa or compact RN license
- Strong knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and trauma care
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and critical‑thinking skills
Responsibilities:
- Perform rapid patient assessments and initiate emergency interventions
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Monitor patient response and recognize changes in condition
- Coordinate care with physicians, trauma teams, and ancillary staff
- Document patient care accurately and in real time
- Maintain patient safety and comply with emergency department protocols
- Support high‑acuity and critical patient populations during night shifts
