Description of Job:
SnapCare is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) with neurology critical care experience for a long-term travel assignment in North Carolina. This position is based in the J4 Neuro Surgical ICU (NSICU), a high-acuity unit specializing in complex neurological and post-surgical patients. The ideal candidate is confident managing neuro-critical patients and thrives in a fast-paced ICU environment while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neuro ICU patients
• Perform detailed neurological and systemic patient assessments
• Monitor and manage patients post-thrombectomy, TPA, and neurosurgical procedures
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and advanced critical care interventions
• Manage CRRT, bedside EVDs, A-line monitoring, and hemodynamic support
• Collaborate with physicians, neurosurgeons, and interdisciplinary ICU teams
• Accurately document patient care using the Cerner EMR system
• Float as needed to other ICUs or step-down units per facility policy
• Uphold hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based practices

Qualifications:

• Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Neurology ICU experience strongly preferred
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative ICU team
