- Pay Rate Low: $59.14/hr
- Pay Rate High: $61.40/hr
SMX Services & Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Senior Support Analyst / Tester to provide senior-level functional support, testing, requirements coordination, and user-focused analysis for DSMIS. This role supports quality assurance, issue validation, user support coordination, and alignment between business needs and technical delivery. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of testing discipline, analytical thinking, and customer support.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze functional requirements, user needs, and support tickets to define testing and support actions.
- Create and execute test cases, validation steps, and acceptance support activities.
- Support backlog refinement, user story clarification, and functional traceability.
- Coordinate with developers and leadership to validate fixes, enhancements, and releases.
- Support user issue analysis, root-cause identification, and resolution verification.
- Assist with production support reporting, documentation, and operational metrics.
- Help ensure that releases meet functional expectations before deployment.
- Contribute to quality, usability, and service responsiveness across the DSMIS environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analysis, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in software testing, functional analysis, support analysis, or user acceptance support.
- Experience writing or executing test cases and validating system functionality.
- Experience working with application support teams and technical staff in structured environments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities across testing, issue support, and functional coordination.

Preferred certifications may include:

- Comfort operating in a mission-sensitive, customer-facing support environment
- Experience with enterprise business applications and reporting workflows

- Experience supporting user acceptance testing and operational readiness
