As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of receipts, service entries, and financial transactions. This position supports our Forest Resources team in Maxville, Florida.

The Opportunity
As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of receipts, service entries, and financial transactions. This position supports our Forest Resources team in Maxville, Florida.
How You Will Impact Smurfit Westrock
- Assist with vendor and system support by responding to internal and external inquiries and researching and resolving issues across various systems.
- Review, reconcile, and correct daily wood receipts.
- Review of required insurance, agreements and certifications.
- Prepare pivot tables and spreadsheets for reporting.
- Work as subject matter expert for regional software: LIMS/WWIZ, JD Edwards and Coupa
- Data entry into various software programs for tickets.
- Act as the region’s point of contact for accounts payables and receivables.
- Responsible for JDE service order entries, ordering of office supplies and equipment for region personnel.
- Prepare correspondence, presentations, analysis, and reconciliation reports.
- Participate in month end close activities.
- Support internal and external audit requests related to invoices and financial documentation.
- 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant with strong analytical/operational responsibilities
- Able to use Microsoft Office as a part of daily business activity: Excel, Word, Power Point, SharePoint, Teams
- Able to learn and use wood accounting and scale systems
- Demonstrated ability to work well under tight deadlines, independently or collaboratively, managing multiple and varied projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to details.
- Analytical skills required for error investigation and resolution
- Must have strong technical ability and excellent written and verbal communications skills
- A plus if you have:
- Degree in accounting, or other business-related discipline
- Accounts payable experience
- Broad knowledge of accounting principles or bookkeeping experience (AR/AP/GL)
- Working knowledge of SAP & JD Edwards software
