This is a new leadership position responsible for bringing order, efficiency, and long-term structure to our warehouse and inventory systems. The department head will oversee all incoming shipments, organize and standardize how products and materials are received, stored, and tracked, and lead a full reorganization of our current warehouse layout. This role will develop improved systems for stocking, labeling, inventory flow, and supply management across the entire company. As the Relic Room continues to grow, this position will help build the foundation that keeps our operation running smoothly, accurately, and efficiently.

Acts As: Department head and final authority on warehouse, receiving, pricing, and stocking operations
Supervises: Assistant WRSD Manager, WRSD Associates, WRSD Specialist (Antique Mall Coordinator, Merchandiser, Labeling/Stocking Coordinator)
Reports To: Owner/ Director of Operations/General Manager
Position Summary:
The Department Head of the WRSD is the leader of the WRSD department and is responsible for the overall management of all inventory and product flow across the Relic Room. This role oversees the Knoxville warehouse (10k Feet), the Sevierville receiving area, all other storage facilities/work areas.
This role oversees all processes related to receiving, pricing, stocking, and distributing items across sales channels. The Department Head ensures through their team that every artifact, fossil, relic, or historical item is accounted for, organized, and placed where it belongs, whether that be the showroom floor, online sales, Antique Malls, Backstock, or other avenues of sale. Being an expanding department, the Department Head will oversee and participate in the installation or reorganization of new or existing stocking/storage areas. This position provides leadership, organization, and accountability for the company's inventory systems, while also providing hands-on supervision of their team and of daily operations such as stocking, straightening, and coordinating with other departments. The Head plays a critical role in making sure the Relic Room runs smoothly by keeping products moving efficiently from acquisition to backstock to stocking and display.
Functions:
- Lead and manage the WRSD department, ensuring the team operates with accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Oversee warehouse operations in Knoxville, Sevierville, and Dandridge, maintaining organization, accessibility, and accurate inventory.
- Supervise receiving and stocking processes for all products, ensuring they are logged, priced, and prepared for sale.
- Communicate with purchasing agents, showroom management, and DOD to ensure timely product distribution, purchasing needs, and inventory flow.
- Develop training guides and standard operating procedures for WRSD staff to ensure consistency in operations.
