Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct fundamental and technical market research on commodities relevant to Smithfield.
- Report data on pricing and supply-demand dynamics for key commodities in U.S. and global markets.
- Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions and share findings with stakeholders.
- Support the development and execution of hedging strategies across various commodity exposures.
- Assist in trade execution, position management, and reporting.
- Provide insights on market drivers to inform risk management.
- Gather critical data to aid in market strategy development.
- Present findings to stakeholders through impactful reports and presentations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to foster professional development.
- Collaborate across business segments to deliver timely market intelligence.

- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field with 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required. .
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for running reports and queries.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a respectful and team-oriented demeanor.
