What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Benefits Compliance Manager position at Smith & Wilkinson?
East Cambridge Savings Bank (ECSB) is a mutually chartered savings bank founded in 1854 and headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts. With 11 branches across Cambridge, Arlington, Belmont, Chelsea, Malden, Medford, Somerville, Waltham, and Woburn, the bank serves individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations throughout Greater Boston. ECSB has grown to $1.6 billion in assets, supported by a longstanding commitment to personalized service, financial stability, and community investment. Guided by its mission to be the preferred banking partner for its communities, the bank operates under a mutual ownership structure that prioritizes customers and the long-term health of the institution rather than shareholder returns.
As a full-service community bank, ECSB offers a wide range of financial solutions, including personal and business checking and savings accounts, mortgages and home equity products, commercial real estate and business lending, money market accounts, and CDs. Customers benefit from modern digital banking tools, debit card controls, and treasury management services, paired with the relationship-based approach of a local community bank. ECSB is well-regarded for its strong community presence and its commitment to economic inclusion, supporting local nonprofits, financial education initiatives, and diversity-focused programs throughout its service area.
In recent years, ECSB has pursued targeted expansion to strengthen its regional footprint, including its 2022 merger with Patriot Community Bank in Woburn and previous acquisitions such as Chelsea Bank in 2015. These strategic moves, along with steady asset growth and consistent operating performance, position East Cambridge Savings Bank as a stable, service-driven institution with deep roots in its communities and a continued focus on sustainable growth.
