Key Responsibilities
- Power on and inspect the cut table daily to ensure proper and safe operation.
- Turn gas bottles on/off daily and replace bottles as needed.
- Load the correct material onto the cut table according to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and production print.
- Load and manage DXF cut files from USB/thumb drive to computer for programming.
- Create and adjust nest programs based on customer and project requirements.
- Select and install correct plasma tips and consumables based on plate thickness.
- Measure and verify part dimensions using a tape measure to ensure accuracy against prints.
- Clearly mark all cut parts with customer name, material grade, and part number.
- Track daily production and material usage using consumption forms.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely to move materials and parts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced fabrication environment while meeting production deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be a team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 90% of the workday.
- Occasional bending, squatting, ladder/stair climbing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to accurately assess weights, distances, and heights for safe material handling.
- Night or 2nd Shift 6pm-6am
