Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, fabricate, and fit structural metal components for steel utility poles.
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components using a variety of tools and machinery.
- Weld or bold materials together to build frameworks and supports per specifications.
- Align and fit parts precisely using sppropriate measuring and leveling tools.
- Inspect completed assemblies for conformance to design and AWS D1:1 quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of basic shop math and ability to operate standard tools and machinery.
- Must pass a weld test.
- Team-oriented, dependable, and highly motivated
- Ability to stand/walk up to 90% of the workday.
- Occasional bending, squatting, climbing ladders/stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to accurately assess weights, distances, and heights.
