Job Description
We are a growing site-development and underground utility contractor seeking a Construction Laborer / Pipelayer to join our field operations team. This role is essential to the installation of underground utilities and the daily execution of safe, efficient construction projects.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a skilled construction crew.
Responsibilities
- Assist with installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main systems
- Set, align, and install pipe, fittings, and structures
- Perform trench work including bedding, backfill, and compaction
- Support equipment operators and foremen
- Use hand tools, power tools, and basic grade-checking equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites
- Follow project plans, layout marks, and grade stakes
- Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA standards
Requirements
- Experience in underground utilities, pipe laying, or heavy civil construction preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift 50 lbs
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills
- Valid driver’s license preferred
