Title: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner / Psychiatric Provider
Location: Harlem, NY (Hybrid – outpatient clinic)
Salary Benefits: $85 to $90/hour comprehensive benefits, PTO, Healthcare, educational reimbursement, and leadership exposure
Responsibilities of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Deliver high-quality psychiatric care including evaluations, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with primary care providers
- Provide crisis intervention and coordinate hospitalizations when necessary
- Collaborate closely with senior psychiatric leadership to enhance integrated care models
- Review and approve OMH-related assessments and treatment plans
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance to interdisciplinary staff
- Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and care coordination across behavioral health services
- Lead trainings, case discussions, and educational sessions (e.g., Grand Rounds)
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external mental health agencies
- Support a harm-reduction approach when working with substance use populations
Requirements of Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner:
- Active New York State Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license required
- Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required (BSN also required)
- Experience working with children and adolescence required
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills
- Comfortable balancing clinical responsibilities with administrative and supervisory functions
- Subspecialty certification (Addiction Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry) is a plus
Pay: $85.00 - $90.00 per hour
