Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of medical and dental office management, and proficiency with such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix. The Practice Manager will serve as a vital link between clinical staff, administrative personnel, and patients to promote a smooth and productive environment.
Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and administrative functions
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation
- Supervise clinical and administrative staff, providing leadership and human resources support
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, for patient records and billing processes
- Coordinate medical administrative support activities including appointment scheduling, billing, coding, and insurance claims processing
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements for efficiency
- Facilitate staff training on medical terminology, medical records management, and office procedures
- Handle vendor relationships and procurement of supplies for the practice
- Maintain quality assurance standards in accordance with healthcare management protocols
Skills
- Proven experience in medical office or healthcare management with a focus on dental practice settings
- Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting and financial oversight
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix
- Excellent supervisory skills with experience in managing clinical or administrative teams
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and medical administrative support functions
- Ability to implement practice management strategies effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in office management tasks
- Experience in managing managed care contracts and utilization management processes
- Background in nursing or acute care settings is a plus but not required; veterinary or hospital experience may be advantageous for certain practices
