Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Dental Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical office management, and proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix. This role requires a professional capable of managing fiscal responsibilities, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, and supporting a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The Practice Manager will serve as the key point of contact for administrative functions, staff supervision, and operational efficiency within our dental practice.
Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality patient service
- Manage financial aspects including budgeting, billing, coding, and revenue cycle management
- Supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and human resources functions
- Coordinate with clinical staff to support nursing and medical management activities
- Oversee scheduling, patient flow, and appointment management to optimize clinic productivity
- Monitor practice performance metrics and implement process improvements
- Handle vendor relations and oversee supply inventory for the dental office
- Ensure adherence to privacy policies and manage patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Support billing processes including insurance claims submission and managed care coordination
- Facilitate staff development through ongoing training in medical terminology, medical administrative support, and clinic procedures
Experience
- Proven experience in medical office management within a dental or healthcare setting
- Strong background in fiscal management, budgeting, and financial oversight in a clinical environment
- Supervisory experience overseeing administrative or clinical teams in a healthcare facility
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix;
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance
- Experience in medical records management, billing procedures, and utilization management
- Prior experience working within dental clinics or similar healthcare practices is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
