Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Manager in the Greater Boston area. The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to expand market presence, drive revenue growth, and build strong client relationships. Daily tasks include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, managing a team of sales professionals, conducting performance evaluations, and collaborating with other departments to meet organizational objectives. The Sales Manager will also monitor market trends, analyze data, and create actionable insights to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve company goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with SMC or equivalent industrial sales experience
- Thorough knowledge of SMC products, sales strategies, and procedures
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills
- Excellent sales, customer relationship management, and negotiation abilities
- Proficiency in data analysis, sales forecasting, and market trend assessment
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and digital tools for sales and reporting
- Ability to work on-site in Boston, MA and willingness to travel as needed
- Prior experience in sales or account management within the automation industry is a plus
- Clean driving record
- Travel with some extended stay away from home
