CNC Machinist (Mill / Lathe)
Location: Sumner, WA
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour. DOE ~ SIGNING BONUS AVAILABLE!
Shift: Days – 4x10 hour shifts
SmartHire is hiring CNC Machinists for a growing manufacturing client in Sumner, WA. We're looking for dependable individuals with CNC machining experience who are eager to learn, grow, and build a long-term career. Whether you're already setting up CNC machines or have a few years of operating experience and want to expand your skills, we'd love to hear from you. Our client is willing to train the right person who brings a strong work ethic, great attitude, and reliable attendance.
What You'll Do
· Operate CNC Mill and/or CNC Lathe machines to produce high-quality precision parts.
· Perform machine setups, adjustments, and tool changes (experience preferred but not required).
· Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
· Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
· Deburr and inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards are met.
· Maintain accurate production documentation.
· Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
· Assist wherever needed in the machine shop and continue developing your machining skills.
What We're Looking For
· 2 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or machine shop environment preferred.
· Experience operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes.
· Setup experience is a plus, but not required—training is available for the right candidate.
· Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
· Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and strong work ethic.
· Reliable transportation.
· Willingness to work overtime as needed.
· Own tools are a plus.
