CNC Lathe Operator
SmartTalent is hiring an experienced CNC Lathe Operator for an aerospace manufacturer in Everett. We're looking for a skilled machinist with CNC lathe setup experience, strong blueprint reading abilities, and a commitment to producing high-quality precision aerospace components.
Location: Everett, WA
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and multi-axis CNC machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and setup sheets.
- Maintain tight tolerances while producing precision aerospace components.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform machine edits, tooling adjustments, deburring, and basic toolmaking as needed.
- Bore jaws on a 3-jaw chuck and complete daily machine setups.
- Utilize Fanuc controls and apply M & G code knowledge.
- Follow production schedules, quality standards, and Lean Manufacturing practices.
- Communicate process improvements and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3 years of CNC Lathe setup and operation experience.
- Experience with multi-axis CNC lathes and Fanuc controls.
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.
- Ability to hold tolerances as tight as ±0.0001\".
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment.
- Understanding of machining mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Boeing BAC specifications and plating tolerances is a plus.
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical machining training preferred.
- Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 30 pounds.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
