Fabrication Sewer Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:

SmartSign is looking for exceptional candidates with problem-solving abilities and hands-on sewing experience to join our growing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining our range of sewing machines to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Prepare and organize raw materials, ensuring they are properly measured and cut to specifications.
• Operate and maintain textile machinery such as sewing machines, cutting machines, and presses.
• Execute various fabricating techniques including sewing, stitching, bonding, and assembling to create finished textile products.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure accurate execution of projects.
• Monitor the quality of finished products, identifying defects or imperfections and making necessary adjustments.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality protocols.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production progress, challenges, and improvements.
• Follow established production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to equipment or processes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and technology advancements in textile fabrication.
• Perform other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a Sewing Machine Operator.
• Exceptional time-management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read a Tape Measure.
• Ability to operate a sewing machine.
