Summary
Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers, such as inspectors, precision workers, machine setters and operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant and system operators.

Minimum Qualifications
· High School diploma
· Five years manufacturing experience in a sheet metal environment
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, 3D renderings, safety rules, operations manuals, and written directions
· Ability to use and accurately read calipers
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
· Familiarity with production software
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Implement work schedules, assignments, and production sequences provided by Operations to meet production goals, including timely delivery to customers and outside processors
· Enforce safety and sanitation regulations
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
· Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and machining technologies, equipment, and processes
· Ability to follow ISO9001 policies and procedures
· Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise 10-15 production employees, whose jobs include, but are not limited to, screening, packing, deburring, punching, bending, milling, cutting, shearing, welding, and hardware insertion.
Essential Functions
· Consult with Operations to confirm production and delivery schedules
· Implement production schedules
· Communicate with and motivate shop employees to meet production and delivery deadlines
· Ensure timely, accurate delivery of customer orders
· Ensure that all orders are sent to outside processing in a timely manner
· Ensure that all shop employees are following safety regulations
· Ensure that all shop employees stay on task and are clocked into jobs
· Inspect parts to confirm adherence to tolerance and customer drawings
· Completes and maintains production and quality paperwork, as needed
· Delegate work tasks to appropriate personnel
· Train personnel as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
Work Environment
Environment is a sheet metal fabrication shop. Worker will be subject to high noise levels and exposed to heavy machinery. Worker may be exposed to dust, fumes, and airborne particles. Sheet metal can cause cuts and lacerations. Metal is highly conductive of thermal energy. Burns are possible when metal is exposed to open flames or a heat source. Inhaling sheet metal dust can increase the chances of respiratory illness. Exposure to oil and grease is possible. Machinery such as turrets, lasers, press brakes, shears, saws, and mills can cause bodily harm in the event of improper operation or malfunction.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
