Position: Data Analyst
Location: Downtown Houston, 77002
Job Type: Contract/Full-Time
Schedule:40 Hours/Week M-F
Pay Rate: $22.00-$25.00/Hour

Smarter HR Solutions is seeking candidates or our IT client's Data Analyst position for their upcoming Asset Management project.
Under the guidance of the Enterprise Manager, this role will oversee the daily operations of the Asset Management (ETAM) computer replacement project, ensuring all laptop and desktop assets are accurately tracked and distributed to meet county-wide requirements and objectives. The Data Analyst will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with vendor contracts, supporting the strategic policies, management, and optimization of enterprise IT resources. This position will also consist of coordinating the inventory, procurement, and deployment of new computer systems across the organization, developing and maintaining accurate asset tracking systems to ensure the effective management of IT resources, and analyzing and reporting on asset lifecycle data to support budgeting and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills necessary for data analysis related to asset management (highly desired). *This includes the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on data analysis.
- Analyze asset usage data to identify trends and optimize resource allocation.
- Use data analysis to forecast future asset needs and budget requirements.
- Excellent communication skills are required for interacting with vendors as well as internal stakeholders. *This involves effectively conveying information, negotiating terms, and building strong relationships with both external vendors and internal team members.
- Communicate asset management policies and procedures to staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on asset management goals.
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without compromising quality or timelines. *This includes managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working on various projects simultaneously.
- Develop and manage a personal task list to prioritize daily activities.
- Set and meet deadlines for asset management tasks and projects.
- Conduct quality checks on asset records to ensure accuracy.
- Balance multiple projects and tasks while maintaining high standards of work.
Experience / Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of experience in IT asset and/or software management (highly desired). This experience should include hands-on management of IT assets, familiarity with asset management software, and a proven track record of successfully managing IT resources.
- Manage the lifecycle of IT assets from acquisition to disposal.
- Use asset management software to track and report on asset status.
- Implement asset management best practices and procedures.
- Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to optimize asset management processes.
- Utilize management information systems to streamline asset tracking.
- Integrate interdisciplinary knowledge to develop comprehensive asset management strategies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (highly desired). This educational background provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding and managing IT assets effectively.
