Job Overview
As our cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals and snacks for the children in our care. You will prepare the meals from a 6-week cycle menu, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, follow guidelines placed by our Child and Adult Care Food Program, and accommodate any dietary restrictions and allergies. Additionally, you will weekly grocery shop, maintain inventory, order supplies, and collaborate with our team to create a positive experience for our students.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Ensure food safety guidelines are followed at all times
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Experience
- Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
