Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, caring, and flexible Daycare Substitute Teacher to join our team on an as-needed basis. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young children and can step in to maintain a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment when regular staff are unavailable.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, naps, and activities
- Engage children in age-appropriate play, learning, and social development
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Follow lesson plans and daycare policies as directed
- Communicate effectively with staff and parents as needed
Skills
- Previous childcare experience preferred but not required
- High school diploma or equivalent required (ECE coursework a plus)
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and age groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass background check
