What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Dental Assistant position at Smart Mouth Dental?
We are looking for a team player- EXPERIENCED DENTAL ASSISTANT. We are a relaxed office that allows time to educate, discuss prevention options, and develop relationships with our patients. We want to provide the best possible atmosphere for our patients while maintaining a fun working environment in which we all rely on each other to get things done! The perfect addition would be someone who has been a general dental assistant for at least 3 years and has some experience working or covering the front desk. Cerec, laser and Dentrix/Dexis knowledge a plus. New hire best qualities will include- a team player, willing to help anyone who needs a hand or is running behind, great communication skills, organized, dependable, inventive, curious, hands on, etc.
FFS practice- Dentrix- 2 doctors and 2 hygiene- 5 ops.
Responsibilities:
DAILY-
- welcoming patients and providing a friendly, gentle and comfortable experience
- assist doctors with procedures including fillings, crowns/bridges, dentures, NG, pediatrics, implant restorations, etc. Occasional oral surgery or root canals performed
- radiographs DEXIS
- operatory set up and breakdown
- sterilization of equipment
- maintain equipment
AS NEEDED-
- Perform various office tasks as needed, such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, maintaining patient charts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- X-ray certification required
- Knowledge of Dentrix or similar dental software
- Cross trained- team player
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide exceptional patient service in a professional manner

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour
