Position Summary
The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting day-to-day operations by coordinating the efficient movement of goods and materials. This position works closely with internal teams, vendors, freight partners, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities
·Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and execute efficient logistics processes.
·Build, establish, and actively manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to support warehousing, fulfillment, and transportation needs.
·Coordinate ocean, truck, and rail shipments, including customs clearance, commercial invoices, and packing list documentation.
·Communicate with freight forwarders to obtain rate quotes and track shipments from origin to destination.
·Monitor and report shipment status, including delays, government holds, or potential delivery issues.
·Oversee products and inventory stored in third-party warehouses.
·Ensure delivery timelines are met and communicate delivery appointments to the sales team.
·Provide logistical support to the sales team to maintain a high level of customer service.
·Identify, report, and communicate transit issues that may impact on-time delivery.
·Manage shipments from vendor to customer to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
·Ensure the proper flow of quality assurance documentation between vendors and customers.
·Maintain organized physical and electronic files.
·Assist with general office or sales support duties as needed.
Qualifications
·Minimum of 2 years of experience in international logistics, supply chain, or distribution.
·Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
·Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; Access a plus).
·Working knowledge of customs clearance documentation and import/export shipping practices.
·Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, and customer service skills.
·Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, international environment and proactively solve problems.
·Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
·Willingness to travel as required.
