Role: Application Support (Kafka, IBM MQ)

Job Summary
- We are seeking a Senior Specialist with 7 to 11 years of experience in Application Support, specializing in Kafka and IBM MQ, along with additional expertise in Splunk and Dynatrace.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support and maintenance for Kafka- and IBM MQ-based applications within an enterprise environment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka and IBM MQ clusters to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Utilize Splunk and Dynatrace for proactive monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement scalable and reliable support solutions.
- Analyze and resolve complex issues related to Kafka messaging, IBM MQ, and data streaming.
- Document support processes, incident reports, and resolution steps to maintain an accurate knowledge base.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical applications.
- Continuously improve support workflows and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for Kafka and IBM MQ application support incidents and service requests.
- Perform root cause analysis and drive resolution for related issues.
- Monitor application health using Splunk dashboards and Dynatrace metrics to detect anomalies early.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deploy patches, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to meet business demands.
- Develop and maintain runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support documentation.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and SLAs.
Required Skills
