We are Making Sustainability Happen.As our Power Sector Lead, you will take on a challenging and diverse role focused on leading and expanding our presence in the power sector across the United States. With the ongoing high power demand in the US market, the power sector is expected to provide significant opportunities for the growth and diversification of our environmental, technical and engineering servicesThis role operates at the intersection of business development and technical expertise, which is why you’ll need to excel at relationship building and project management, both with clients and internal teams.
- Co-ordinate bids and contribute to development and implementation of service line, business sector, and client business development plans.-Identify trends and create a long-term strategy that positions SLR for key client accounts and key portions of the sector market, providing for sustainable growth.-Establish a client management team for key target clients and work to help them grow and build their client management skills.-Work with our Technical Disciplines to identify skills gaps, and actively mentor, build, and support recruitment of those technical skills.-Champion an integrated services approach, driving growth opportunities for the full suite of SLR services.-Develop strategic partnerships and strong working relationships with industry leaders, as well as stakeholders across SLR in the US and globally.-Survey client needs, developing a detailed understanding of client objectives, scope, and ideal outcomes. -Be a resource for clients as the primary contact on key industry and operational issues, providing perspective and feedback to SLR delivery teams. -Generate ongoing strategies for improving client satisfaction and sector growth.-Stay informed on industry trends, providing reports, analysis, and recommendations where relevant. -Direct project teams and facilitate successful project delivery with respect to health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC and client satisfaction.-This is a unique opportunity to bring your expertise and experience to a highly engaged team, where your efforts and impact will be recognized and valued immensely.Working @ SLR With us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location.Full-time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancementQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, geoscience, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.15 years of experience as an advisor in the power sector.Deep knowledge of power sector required, with significant client network.Experience building and implementing a business growth strategy, project management delivery.Broad and extensive knowledge of a variety of technical disciplines, including environmental permitting and compliance, environmental health and safety, and power production and distribution engineering.Working knowledge of federal, state, and industry specific regulations and guidelines.Experience in direction and management of multi-disciplinary project teams.Willingness to travel as needed to participate in leadership events, conferences, and client meetings.
