About the job
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing month-end close activities, inventory
accounting, vendor support, compliance reporting, and cross-functional financial operations. This
position supports accurate financial reporting, ensures compliance with GAAP standards, and
contributes to process improvements and operational efficiency throughout the organization.
We're looking for someone who
● Holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or has equivalent professional experience
● Has 5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
● Has strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
● Is highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Business Intelligence tools; experience
with FAMOUS software is preferred
● Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret
complex financial data
● Can manage confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and integrity
● Has strong organizational skills with close attention to accuracy and detail
● Is able to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
● Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing
● Works independently while collaborating effectively across teams
● Has experience training, planning, and coordinating the work of others
● Demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills
● Is adaptable within a dynamic and evolving business environment
● Has agricultural industry experience (preferred)
What you'll do
● Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
● Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll entries,
and intercompany transactions
● Maintain supporting schedules and ensure all reconciliations balance accurately at
month-end
● Process packaging inventory transactions, inventory adjustments, and inventory
reconciliations across all entities
● Analyze inventory variances and investigate discrepancies
● Support annual physical inventory counts and related audit preparation
● Manage vendor onboarding, vendor records, ACH setup, and W-9 compliance
● Assist with year-end 1099 reporting and accounts payable support
● Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for leadership
● Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to
inquiries
● Partner cross-functionally to improve financial operations and process efficiencies
● Provide backup support to senior management as needed
● Contribute to special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as assigned
Salary : $37 - $40
