Required Knowledge & Ability
Knowledge of managerial accounting and financial practices; knowledge of state and federal payroll laws and
CalPERS processes, procedures and reporting protocols; experience in accounting, financial and governmental
reporting and recordkeeping requirements including GAAP, FASB, and GASB principles; ability to comply with
District and mandated safety rules, regulations, and protocols; techniques for effectively dealing with the public,
vendors, contractors, and staff; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, working knowledge of ERP systems
preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ability to use modern office equipment relevant to work
performed; ability to analyze financial data and draw sound conclusions; ability to independently organize work, set
priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow-up on assignments; use tact, initiative, prudence within general policy
and procedural guidelines; ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, using
appropriate English grammar and syntax; ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working
relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting,
finance, business administration, or related field, and two (2) years of professional level experience in accounting
and finance.
