Cafe Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Café Attendant provides fast, friendly service to Slingshot guests while supporting the daily operation of Scarbella’s Kitchen. This hands-on, guest-facing position is responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, keeping the café clean and stocked, and helping the kitchen and café team maintain an efficient operation during busy periods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, enthusiastic customer service.
• Take guest orders accurately and operate the POS system.
• Process payments according to company procedures.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including fountain drinks and other café offerings.
• Assist with serving pizza, snacks, desserts, and other menu items.
• Package orders accurately and ensure guests receive complete orders.
• Communicate clearly with the kitchen regarding orders, modifications, and special requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive front counter and beverage area.
• Clear tables, remove trash, and maintain clean guest dining areas.
• Restock cups, lids, napkins, utensils, condiments, beverages, and other supplies.
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, handwashing, and cleaning procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation, stocking, cleaning, and other kitchen tasks as directed.
• Support party service and large-group orders during busy periods.
• Monitor the café for spills, hazards, or other safety concerns.
• Answer routine guest questions and escalate significant concerns to the Café/Kitchen Manager or Shift Lead.
• Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with the Kitchen, Party Hosts, Adventure Attendants, Front Desk, and Operations team.
• Be willing to assist in other guest-service areas when operational needs require.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous restaurant, café, hospitality, retail, or customer-service experience preferred but not required.
• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with families and children.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Able to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Comfortable learning and using a POS system.
• Able to follow food-safety and sanitation procedures.
• Willing to learn multiple café and kitchen responsibilities.
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
• Available for weekends, holidays, school breaks, and peak business periods.
• Able to stand for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, lift, carry, and move food-service supplies.

· Minimum age: 18 Years Old.

• Fast. Friendly. Accurate. Clean.
• Make ordering and receiving food easy for every guest. During busy periods, stay calm, communicate with the team, keep moving, and never let a guest feel ignored.
