Adventure Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Adventure Attendant is a highly visible guest-facing team member responsible for creating a safe, fun, and welcoming experience throughout Slingshot's attractions. Adventure Attendants monitor attraction activity, enforce safety rules, assist guests, maintain clean and orderly attraction areas, and help keep the adventure moving smoothly. This is an active position requiring constant awareness, positive guest interaction, and a willingness to jump into whatever operational area needs support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, enthusiastic assistance throughout the attraction experience.
• Monitor assigned attractions and guest activity continuously to promote safe and appropriate use.
• Explain attraction rules, procedures, age/height or participation requirements, and proper use of equipment.
• Enforce safety rules consistently and respectfully; stop unsafe behavior immediately and notify the Shift Lead when needed.
• Assist guests with attraction entry, equipment, wristbands, transitions, and questions.
• Monitor guest flow and help manage lines, capacity, timing, and attraction transitions to keep the experience moving.
• Watch for hazards, damaged equipment, spills, overcrowding, or other conditions that could affect guest safety.
• Keep attraction areas clean, organized, and guest-ready; perform routine resets and housekeeping throughout the shift.
• Report equipment problems, maintenance needs, injuries, incidents, and unusual guest situations promptly to the Shift Lead.
• Provide extra assistance to younger children, families, and guests who need help understanding or navigating an attraction.
• Support other attractions or operational areas when assigned, particularly during busy periods.
• Follow all company safety procedures, emergency procedures, cleaning standards, and operational checklists.
• Maintain a positive, energetic attitude even during high-volume periods and model excellent guest-service behavior.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in customer service, recreation, hospitality, childcare, sports, entertainment, or a similar environment preferred.
• Energetic, outgoing, friendly, and comfortable interacting with children, teens, parents, and groups.
• Safety-conscious with the confidence to enforce rules and speak up when an unsafe situation occurs.
• Alert and observant; able to monitor multiple guests and activities while maintaining situational awareness.
• Reliable, punctual, responsible, and able to follow procedures consistently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear instructions in a positive manner.
• Comfortable working in a loud, active, fast-paced family entertainment environment.
• Able to remain calm and professional when guests are upset, confused, or frustrated.
• Available for weekends, holidays, school breaks, and peak business periods.
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout an active attraction environment for extended periods; additional physical requirements may apply to specific attractions.

• Every guest should feel welcomed, safe, and confident using the attraction.
• Safety rules are enforced consistently—not selectively.
• Attractions remain clean, organized, properly staffed, and ready for the next guest.
• The Adventure Attendant stays visible, engaged, and proactive rather than waiting for guests to ask for help.

Pay: $18.25 - $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
