As we grow, we’re looking for a part-time Customer Service Specialist who can deliver exceptional support, provide solutions with empathy and clarity, and ensure every Sleepyhead customer has an outstanding experience.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a part-time, in-office Customer Service Specialist to handle inbound customer inquiries, provide top-tier support, and strengthen customer relationships through clear communication and problem-solving.
You’ll respond to customers across email, live chat, SMS, social media, and occasional phone calls — assisting with orders, tracking updates, returns, product questions, and coordination with our warehouse and operations teams.
This role requires flexibility, as occasional weekend shifts and limited holiday coverage may be needed, especially during peak seasons and major promotions (e.g., BFCM and back-to-school).

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries across email, chat, SMS, and social with accurate information and a positive, customer-first approach.
- Manage Shopify orders, tracking updates, customer accounts, refunds, and exchanges according to Sleepyhead policies.
- Coordinate with operations and warehouse teams to resolve fulfillment, shipping, and inventory-related concerns; escalate complex issues when needed.
- Track recurring customer questions and share insights with leadership to improve systems and customer experience.
- Uphold Sleepyhead’s voice and tone across all interactions while meeting response-time and resolution expectations.
Qualifications
- 2 years of customer service experience, ideally in e-commerce or retail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent grammar and clarity.
- Experience with Shopify or similar platforms preferred but not required.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple conversations at once.
- Positive, empathetic, and solutions-focused mindset.
- Ability to work some weekends and occasional holidays during peak seasons.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
