What You'll Do:
As our Treatment Coordinator, you'll serve as the primary point of contact after a provider recommends treatment. You'll ensure every patient understands their diagnosis, treatment options, financial responsibilities, and the life changing benefits of moving forward with care.
Responsibilities:
- Review and present individualized treatment plans with confidence, compassion, and professionalism.
- Educate patients on recommended treatment and answer questions in a way that is clear, supportive, and easy to understand.
- Calculate and explain patient financial responsibility using insurance benefits, deductibles, copays, coinsurance, prior authorizations, and self pay options.
- Help patients navigate financing and payment options when appropriate.
- Build trust and meaningful relationships that empower patients to make informed decisions about their care.
- Follow up with patients who have not yet scheduled treatment, providing additional education and support as needed.
- Partner closely with providers, assistants, and the administrative team to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively with both clinical and administrative teams.
- Provide occasional front office support, including scheduling, answering phones, and assisting with patient check in and check out when needed.

Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in a dental, medical, or specialty healthcare practice is preferred.
- Previous experience in treatment coordination, patient financial counseling, healthcare consulting, or a similar patient facing role is strongly preferred.
- Experience in relationship based consultative roles is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical insurance, deductibles, coinsurance, copays, prior authorizations, and patient financial responsibility.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex information in an approachable way.
- A naturally positive, engaging, and confident personality that helps patients feel comfortable and cared for.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment.
- Experience with dental or medical practice management software is preferred.
