Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential, commercial, or industrial spaces, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Handle specialized floor care tasks such as buffing, waxing, stripping, and polishing to maintain pristine flooring conditions.
- Conduct janitorial duties including trash removal, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleaning equipment.
- Assist with custodial responsibilities such as window washing, carpet cleaning, and light maintenance tasks like painting touch-ups in residential or commercial settings.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for plumbing, electrical issues, or structural concerns.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities and supply inventories to ensure efficient operations.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in residential, commercial, or industrial environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or porter roles that involve light repairs or upkeep tasks is advantageous.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and best practices for maintaining high hygiene standards in busy environments.
