About the Role We're hiring a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our restaurants in top operating condition. You'll be based in Uvalde and travel regularly to our locations to handle preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep. A company vehicle is provided for travel between sites. This role serves the following locations:

- Smoothie King — Eagle Pass, TX
- Smoothie King — Del Rio, TX
- Smoothie King — Uvalde, TX
- Smoothie King — Castroville, TX
- Smoothie King — Seguin, TX
What You'll Do
- Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance across all assigned locations
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment (or coordinate licensed vendors when needed)
- Handle carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and general building repairs
- Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment (fryers, grills, ovens, walk-in coolers/freezers, ice machines, etc.)
- Inspect facilities regularly and proactively address safety, code, and equipment issues
- Manage a preventive maintenance schedule and keep accurate service records
- Respond to maintenance requests promptly and prioritize across multiple sites
- Coordinate with and oversee outside contractors and vendors
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and supplies
- Ensure all work meets health, safety, and building code standards
What We're Looking For
- 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in restaurant, food service, hospitality, or commercial facilities
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC/refrigeration, and general building systems
- Experience with commercial kitchen equipment strongly preferred
- Valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record (required — a company vehicle is provided)
- Willingness to travel daily between locations across South Central Texas
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize across multiple sites
- Reliable, responsive, and able to handle occasional after-hours or emergency calls
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand, kneel, and climb while working in varied conditions (kitchens, coolers, rooftops)
- EPA 608 certification a plus; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Schedule Full-time, [Monday–Friday with rotating on-call/weekend coverage as needed]. Travel between locations is a regular part of this role.
