Description
Guest Greeting & First Impressions
- Welcome every guest within 30 seconds with eye contact, a smile, and visible friendliness.
- Use upbeat, positive language that reflects Broadway 830’s community‑anchored identity.
- Offer brief menu or event highlights when appropriate (Lunch Menu, Trivia, Music Bingo, Live Music).
Seating & Flow Management
- Manage the seating chart to balance server sections and maintain smooth service flow.
- Communicate accurate wait times with confidence and clarity.
- Escort guests to their table — lead, don’t point.
- Present menus and ensure guests are comfortably settled before handing off to the server.
Lobby & Guest Experience Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming lobby environment.
- Monitor guest arrival patterns and adjust pacing with FOH leadership.
- Support takeout and pickup orders with accuracy and warmth.
- Assist with phone calls, reservations, and general guest inquiries.
Communication & Team Coordination
- Communicate guest needs, special requests, and seating adjustments to servers and leadership.
- Work closely with FOH Leads to manage flow during peak periods.
- Participate in pre‑shift huddles and contribute to a positive team environment.
Brand Representation
- Reflect Broadway 830’s service standard through authenticity, warmth, and professionalism.
- Promote weekly activations and community events when appropriate.
- Uphold all company policies, safety standards, and service expectations.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to connect with guests.
- Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Ability to multitask and manage guest flow in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and team‑oriented.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to walk guests to tables throughout the shift.
- Light lifting (menus, signage, etc.).
