FAA / EASA certified Repair Facility engaged in the inspection, test, and repair of commercial aviation instruments, avionics and electro-mechanical components is currently seeking the following full-time position:


The Quality Control Manager is responsible for the overall regulatory compliance of the repair facility as well as implementing and maintaining all quality programs. Job functions include but are not limited to the following duties and responsibilities.

Daily Job functions are:


  • Ensure that the repair station quality requirements are being adhered to in accordance with its RSM/QCM approval repair station manuals, EASA MAG requirements, and customer/internal audits. Oversees and maintains the physical layout of the repair station’s floor work area and shops to provide sufficient work space for the proper segregation and protection of articles.
  • Assures that proper equipment, tooling, and materials are available to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance or alterations under the repair station certificate and operations specifications.
  • Determines and assures that there are sufficient qualified supervisory, inspection and production personnel with the training, knowledge and experience in the performance of maintenance, preventive maintenance or alterations authorized by the repair station.
  • Responsible for the repair station quality system, directing and planning inspection standards and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable code of federal regulations and manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Ensure adherence to FAA/EASA regulations as well as other aerospace industry requirements and government regulations.
  • Responsible for technical data, shelf life, calibrated tools and internal audit programs. Training of inspection personnel for receiving, in process, final, and return to service inspection procedures. Training of production personnel for properly performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations of articles per manufacturer specifications and FAA/EASA regulations.
  • Responsible for assuring that the quality manuals, quality procedures, work instructions, and all other quality forms and documentation are maintained current and are being accurately implemented by applicable departments.
  • Responsible for performing shipping and receiving inspections on all components processed through the repair facility. 
  • Serve as a liaison with designated FAA principal maintenance inspectors and airline auditors.


Qualified Candidates must have the following:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant experience with a 14 CFR Part 145 certified repair station preferably in a quality control or technical support role. 
  • Proven training and experience in the aviation field. 
  • Proficient, with high attention to detail and a willingness to bring ideas and experience to implement new procedures.
  • Be a team leader with the ability to communicate succinctly, both verbally and in written communications, across several levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize accordingly to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Skilled in conflict resolution and in handling stressful situations.


Compensation:

Pay Range $65K-85K annually
