Mechanical Assembly Technician
Fremont, CA
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay: $20–$26/hr
Steel‐toe shoes or boots required on Day 1
Job Summary
We are hiring a Mechanical Assembly Technician to support chemical cleaning, processing, and inspection of customer parts in a high‐tech manufacturing environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, safe chemical handling, and the ability to follow written work instructions and SOPs. The ideal Mechanical Assembly Technician is reliable, safety‐focused, and comfortable working in a cleanroom or chemical‐processing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform chemical and manual cleaning using acids, solvents, and specialty chemicals
- Load/unload parts into cleaning tanks and equipment
- Follow detailed work instructions and cleanliness standards
- Inspect parts for defects and cleanliness
- Complete daily 6S tasks to maintain an organized workspace
- Log process data and update production records
- Handle and dispose of chemicals safely
- Report equipment or process issues
- Use PPE at all times and follow all safety procedures
Qualifications
- 1 year manufacturing or materials‐processing experience (3 years preferred)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable working with chemicals and in cleanroom environments
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- High School Diploma/GED required; technical coursework preferred
