Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or greater
- Current Nurse Aide Certification in the Commonwealth of VA
- Certified for CPR and First Aid
- Experience in geriatrics/LTC/Dementia or direct care of the aging adult
- Willing and able to work hand in hand with all staff

Staffing Coordinator Job Summary:
To coordinate and schedule all Nursing Department staff to ensure appropriate coverage that will meet the needs of the residents daily.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Generate, manage, and update master schedules for the nursing department, while adjusting as needed.
- After DON reviews requests for vacation and pre-scheduled sick leave, Staffing Coordinator will have to schedule accordingly.
- Complete and post work schedules ensuring appropriate coverage for all units
- Answer employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions
- Schedule all necessary staff to resolve any/all call-offs.
- Maintain accurate daily absentee and tardy records, update DON weekly and assist with the progressive disciplinary process
- Compiles schedule and time summaries and submits to the DON as indicated
- Checking timecards against Master Schedule and noting appropriate changes
- Assist with the interviewing, hiring and new hire orientation
- Assist with the record keeping of facility In-Service requirements for new hires
- Ensure new hires have schedules and a Preceptor prior to the first day of work
- Makes sure the Preceptor knows they have a trainee
- Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent employee information
- Assist with and attend Care Plan meetings
- Work with the DON and HR when scheduling modified work duty employees according to work restrictions and facility policy.
- Must maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Must be capable and willing to work on the floor as a CNA as needed.
- Utilizing computer software as indicated for review of the accuracy of the residents ADL monitoring and that showers are being documented.
- The ability to work a flexible schedule during the week and weekends, including On-Call
- Maintain a current list of all Resident Care employee phone numbers.
Central Supply Clerk Job Summary:
Responsible for the ordering of materials, supplies, and/or equipment, and the follow through with vendors on shipment and delivery. Consult with DON.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to read, write and understand English
- Visual and hearing ability to sufficiently comprehend written and verbal communication
- The ability to perform tasks that may require standing, excessive bending and lifting.
- The ability to work in a high stress area.
Organizational Relationships:
Reports to the Director of Nursing or designee in DON’s absence.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
