We are looking for someone who can effectively locate fiber, work well with clients, represent Skyline through their embodiment of our values, and can manage multiple projects and locations confidently.
You can expect to spend your time accomplishing the following:
- 80% of time on Objective 1: Fiber location and Project Oversight
- 10% of time on Objective 2: Quality and Safety
- 10% of time on Objective 3: Technical and Cultural Development
Job Responsibilities - What to Expect
- Routinely attend to all aspects of the in-progress projects assigned, including executing tickets, monitoring ticket status, viewing and updating electronic prints and as-builts, communicating with the contractor, and making onsite decisions about resources.
- Actively coordinate with customers and clients, participate in team meetings, and manage utility locates for projects.
- Diligently uphold quality assurance by requiring that work is accurate and performed according to customer specs as well as Miss Utility and Skyline standards.
- Ardently uphold safety standards by reporting violations, investigating utility damages, and obeying traffic safety.
- Generously work on-call and after hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights when necessary.
- Proactively grow professional development through cultural development classes and readings, and certifications.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Your Knowledge & Expertise
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience
- 2 years of experience locating fiber
- Ability to obtain MDOT Temporary Traffic Control Manager, CPR, and First Aid certifications
- Experience and proven ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects while remaining attentive and thorough
- Organized under pressure and detail oriented
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
