CV, Inc. is a company that provides Civil Engineering, Survey, MOT, SUE Services, and additional services for multiple large MD/VA/DC/DE Utility providers, as well as County and State organizations. We are looking for an experienced Utility Designator (Locator) / SUE Technician to work in our SUE Services division. Experience with Utility locating / Test Pit services / Maintenance of Traffic, in Maryland, DC, Virginia, & Delaware is important.
Job Description
- Accurately and Precisely Locate Utilities and support Test Pit operations.
- Draw and develop utility sketches.
- Read and understand Utility company plans and document important information.
- Ability and experience with SUE electronic equipment (Radio Detection, Metrotech, GPR)
- Read plans on computers, use MS Office Products, communicate using emails with team.
- Physically capable of maneuvering manholes, valve boxes, underground vaults, etc.
- Work with Surveyors to support if needed.
- Prior experience performing or working in conjunction to utility test holes is a plus.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in the Metropolitan DC/Baltimore Area with SUE work preferred (Utility locating, Test holes, Pavement Cores, MOT deployment, etc.)
- Knowledge of Electromagnetic induction detection equipment and operating procedures
- Possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills
- Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are essential requirements.
- Must be 21 years old.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable record.
- Ability to work cooperatively in team environment.
- Basic computer/technical skills
