About the role
Skybridge Aviation is hiring a Vehicle Mechanical Technician to join our growing team in Centennial, CO. This is a hands-on fabrication and vehicle modification role — you will be drilling, mounting, fabricating custom parts and brackets, and working from technical drawings to modify trucks and specialty vehicles.

What you'll do
- Fabricate custom parts, brackets, and mounting systems for vehicle modifications
- Drill, cut, and mount components to specification on trucks and specialty vehicles
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and modification specifications
- Install aftermarket components, systems, and sub-assemblies
- Perform complex mechanical modifications and customizations on trucks, specialty vehicles, and heavy equipment
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues related to modification work
- Conduct quality inspections and testing to verify proper installation and operation
- Troubleshoot mechanical assemblies and document root causes for configuration management
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and project management to meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of modifications performed, parts used, and work completed
- Adhere to all safety protocols, shop regulations, and environmental standards
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (relevant degree may substitute for experience)
- 3 years of experience in a related mechanical or fabrication field
- Candidates with fewer years but strong hands-on fundamentals will be considered
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings, blueprints, or schematics
- Experience with safe use of hand and power tools; ability to supply personal tools and toolbox
- Valid driver's license
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance
Preferred qualifications
- Background in machining, metal fabrication, or custom build work
- Experience with vehicle upfitting, modification, or aftermarket installation
- Advanced certification in a relevant technical field (HVAC, electrical, welding, etc.)
- Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
- Forklift certification or ability to operate a forklift

Physical & schedule requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

- Comfortable working in potentially hazardous or loud environments
- Flexible schedule — open to extended hours, weekend work, and possible second shift
- Ability to travel as required
Pay: $33.00 per hour
