Position Overview
SkyBridge Aviation is seeking an experienced Aircraft Technical Inspector to support aviation maintenance operations. This role is responsible for ensuring all maintenance, repairs, and inspections are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards prior to return to service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rotary-wing aircraft, specifically UH-60/S-70 platforms, and a keen eye for detail in quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work is properly completed and documented prior to aircraft release to service
- Review and complete inspection records, maintenance reports, and required documentation
- Verify that no defective or non-airworthy parts are installed on any component or system
- Inspect and accept incoming materials including new parts, repaired components, and hardware from suppliers
- Ensure proper tagging, identification, and traceability of all parts and components
- Maintain organized records of completed work orders and inspection documentation for audit and review
- Perform component, shop, and in-process inspections to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Support quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 5 years of aviation maintenance experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Aircraft Quality or Technical Inspector
- Military or OEM training/experience on UH-60 or S-70 aircraft required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and assembly drawings
- Strong understanding of aircraft inspection processes and quality standards
- Ability to use inspection tools and equipment effectively
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License
- Experience with ACN (Army logbook systems)
- Experience with TAAMS-A or MCDS systems
- Familiarity with Army Aircraft Records (DA PAM 738-751)
- Experience with parts verification and serial number tracking
