Barback

The Barback is an essential support role in the resort’s beverage operations, ensuring that bartenders can provide efficient, high-quality service to all guests. This position involves restocking, cleaning, and assisting with bar operations to maintain a smooth and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks efficiently.

• Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, and other bar supplies as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning glassware, and disposing of trash.

• Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar for service shifts and special events.

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the bar manager.

• Ensure compliance with all food and beverage safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.

• Support bartenders with guest service when necessary, including running drinks to tables or pool areas when requested.

• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally, embodying SkyBeach Resort’s “barefoot luxury” service philosophy.

• Assist with closing duties, including restocking, cleaning, and preparing the bar for the next shift.

 The responsibility of the barback is to ensure the bar has all the necessities to maintain seamless service through the entire shift. You must be able to anticipate  the needs of the bartender without being told what is needed. You must be able to lift and carry forty pounds. You must be able to work on your feet for extended periods of time. A knowledge of alcohol, wine and beer is also a must as you are responsible in stocking the bar throughout a shift. This requires the ability to move safely around while working in tight spaces.
