What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welders and Iron Workers position at Skillforce?
We are currently hiring for experienced welders (MIG, stick, structural, TIG) and iron workers in Richmond and Charlottesville, VA. Pay is $28 - $32 per hour based on skill set and experience.
Welder and Iron Worker Responsibilities:
- Utilize various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to create strong and durable joints in metal piping.
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Select appropriate materials and welding rods/consumables for specific applications based on project needs.
- Erect structural steel components
- Conduct visual inspections and perform pressure testing on welded joints to ensure safety and structural integrity.
- Operate welding equipment and tools in a safe and effective manner, adhering to all company safety protocols.
Welder and Iron Worker Qualifications:
- 3 years experience as a welder
- Your own reliable transportation
- Valid Driver's License
