Position Overview
The Human Resources Director is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of human resources, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while supporting operational leadership and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and retention
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and healthcare regulations
Maintain employee files, personnel records, and HR documentation
Manage disciplinary actions, investigations, and performance management processes
Support department leaders with coaching, training, and HR guidance
Oversee benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HRIS systems
Lead policy development and ensure consistent application of HR policies
Coordinate staff training, orientations, and compliance requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (required)
Minimum of 3–5 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care
Strong knowledge of employment law, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and healthcare HR compliance
Experience with employee relations, corrective action, and investigations
