A skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Manager to oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals that meet healthcare standards.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong organizational and communication skills, capable of guiding staff, maintaining compliance, and supporting a positive dining experience for residents.
Responsibilities
Direct and supervise daily food service operations, including food preparation, production, and service.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, facility policies, and sanitation standards.
Train, schedule, and evaluate dietary staff to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to ensure menus and diets are properly followed.
Monitor food inventory, order supplies, and control costs within budget parameters.
Oversee tray line accuracy, meal service presentation, and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Food Service Manager, Lead Cook, or Supervisor in a healthcare or long-term care setting (preferred).
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Working knowledge of therapeutic and texture-modified diets.
ServSafe certification preferred.
