We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (D.O.N.) to lead our long term care facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate nursing staff.
- Set and track departmental goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
- Oversee department budgets.
- Report directly to the administrator.
- Maintain high standards of care for all patients.
- Manage patients’ data and medical records as confidential records.
- Communicate with doctors, patients, and family members about patient health.
- Schedule staff meetings for patient updates, issues, and recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s of Science degree from an accredited college or university.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 2 years of experience in a healthcare facility or related setting
- Strong understanding of skilled nursing standards of care
- Must be able to think critically and adapt quickly to new situations.
- Good critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills
