Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and functional behavior assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Design, implement, and supervise behavioral therapy programs grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill acquisition and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously to monitor progress and adjust interventions accordingly, ensuring measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care strategies and provide training on behavioral techniques.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, patient records, and HIPAA-compliant records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Lead intake assessments for new clients, ensuring comprehensive understanding of individual needs and goals.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to behavior technicians and junior staff, fostering professional development within the team.
Experience
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong background in behavioral therapy techniques, data collection methods, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Familiarity with medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and medical records management.
- Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations and behavioral health assessments in clinical or educational settings.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
