Duties and responsibilities
- Take guest orders, ring them though correctly, and expedite the orders from the kitchen in a presentable and timely manner according to the sequence of service
- Offer suggestions by using suggestive selling techniques
- Acknowledge all guests in a prompt manner
- Ensure all chairs, floors, and work areas are clean and presentable at all times
- Maintain excellent communication between all team members
- Works closely with Bartender, Bussers, Cooks and Chef to ensure quality service and plate presentation
- Clear tables when guests have completed their meals or beverages as well as after leaving their tables
- Respond to guests who are dissatisfied and notify a Manager as soon as possible if issue cannot be resolved
- Work closely with fellow employees to ensure smooth and fast service to our guests
- Ensure all food is fresh and presentable to the required standards
- Follow opening, closing and daily on-going procedures and checklist
- Ensures dining room is always kept clean, floor swept and mopped, counters wiped, sink and dishwasher clean, garbage and recycling taken out as needed/or the end of shift
- Any other tasks assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Bar Tending Experience preferred
- Must be 18 years old
- Required to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays and may be required to work overtime
- Familiar with the floor plan and table numbers
- Maintain up to 5 table section
- Have full knowledge of entire menu and preparations, including daily features/beverages
- Understanding of Duty of Care as it relates to the responsible service of Alcohol
- Knowledge of POS and payment system
- Ability to take direction and perform duties efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests and employees alike
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- A professional, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
- Good interpersonal skills
Working conditions
The Server position is based primarily inside, but may also be outside exposed to temperature extremes (above 85 degrees and below 20 degrees), sun and wind exposure, inclement weather (rain, snow, ice) and high altitudes (10,500 feet).
Physical requirements
Must be able to walk on even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend even/uneven/slippery terrain, climb/descend stairs, stand and/or sit for long periods of time, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift objects that may be heavy.
Seasonal Status
This Position is a seasonal position with an expected season of early December 2025 through early-mid April 2026. Employment in subsequent seasons is not guaranteed. Be sure to speak with your supervisor if you desire to return next season.
