Position Summary
We are looking for an energetic, versatile team player to join our cigar mail-order, wholesale, and retail team. This unique role bridges the gap between traditional storefront retail and e-commerce logistics. You will be the friendly face of our store—providing exceptional customer service and managing sales transactions—while also pivoting to assist online order processing, packing, shipping, and inventory management. We will train the right candidate, but experienced applicants are highly welcome. This position is available as either Full-Time or Part-Time for the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Retail & Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for retail transactions, including cash handling and balancing registers.
- Upsell additional products or services by identifying customer needs to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain the sales floor by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products effectively.
E-Commerce Fulfillment & Logistics
- Process e-commerce and mail-order requests efficiently, ensuring timely fulfillment and accurate documentation.
- Pack and ship online orders securely to ensure safe transit to customers.
- Unpack incoming shipments, verify stock, and log items to maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Provide remote customer support via telephone and email with excellent phone etiquette and professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or warehouse fulfillment is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS systems, computer basics, and digital database navigation.
- Core Skills: Strong communication skills, active listening, and professional phone etiquette.
- Math & Operations: Proficiency in retail math for cash handling, calculating change, and inventory tracking.
- Attributes: A strong multitasker who is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
